Let's Go!
The idea to create a gathering here in Ireland seems to have grown by itself and for it to develop into a plan we need your advice and input.
We have a lovely home in rural Ireland where we operate our glassblowing studio and welcome visitors to experience hot glass. We are born 'makers' and have surrounded ourselves with other creatives, crafters, small businesses and local tourism operators.
The region is rich in both history and natural beauty and we have a concentration of wonderful craft operators, destinations and experiences on our doorstep.
The central location lends itself well to access by car or flight and positions you in reach of many wonderful regions in the central north-west of Ireland. We are on the border of two parts of the country described as 'The hidden heartlands' and the 'Wild Atlantic way' where the peaceful rural setting meets rugged landscapes and hides many gems awaiting exploration.
Our goal is to offer nearby accommodation and facilitate group bookings to a range of craft workshops located both at our own cottage and at various other sites nearby. In addition we would develop an itinerary of activities, site visits and experiences for everyone to participate in and look to provide a group transport solution for these 'field trips'. The trick to this is designing it in a way where you have autonomy and control over your own stay and experience while 'guiding' a collection of experiences so there is convenience, minimal planning for you, to really maximise your time here and provide a safe, shared experience with likeminded people - because that is where the memories and lasting friendships are made.
As there is yet a plan to signpost dates and specifics, we ask that you fill in this form to help us better understand your ideal stay in Ireland.
